The first annual Forestry Days event on the University of Idaho Experimental Forest was held on October 3-4, 2025. The main educational and workforce event for Idaho K-12 schools and homeschool families exceeded our expectations with over 200 students and industry stakeholders participating! Next year’s (2026) Forestry Days education event will be Thursday, October 1, 2026! The 2026 event will be open to K-12 students and the general public with current research, recreation and fire and fuels tours on the UIEF for the general public happening alongside the school activities. Related activities start on campus Wednesday, September 30. We want even more schools participating and more partners helping out in 2026! Please email cnr-uief@uidaho.edu if you would like to bring your class or help provide hands-on activities.
